Hopefully there's a lawsuit against the three famous promoters who all made 7-8 figures scamming naive and stupid people like myself. I made my money back because I invested early but I know many, including some I invited that didn't. I'm highly apologetic and remorseful about what I did, but cryptonick, trevon or something and the other guy are not only unapologetic, they're blaming the investors and many investors are on their side!!!

I suppose it's hard to foresee how these things end. I did see that the promoters are being sued so they won't get away with it. It's good job you made your money back. There is some luck involved in these things so it is sad that some people got caught in the trap and lost their money. I suppose you live and learn.

Happy this scam is down, better now than later. However, I don't like the fact that the government gets involved in this, the market is able to solve this. Reputation of the founders / shills is destroyed and the victims learned an expensive lesson.
Telling newbies that a copy of BTC that is created without consensus and is missing the most interesting technology and best devs is the real Bitcoin is as bad as shilling for Bitconnect. Many will be angry too when this altcoin becomes obsolete (and they lose all their money) because it doesn't serve as store of value and is more expensive for transactions than Lightning Network.
Over time all scams will be filtered out by the market. Shills will be punished by the market by loss of reputation and victims will learn and become smart investors. We don't need the government!
This was a clear con from the outset and whilst I agree with your sentiment on government involvement, you only have to look at what has happened to see that without it, nothing would happen. The founders would skip off with the loot and the promoters would skip onto the next scam!

The founders must be cursing the fact that it came crashing down before the ICO could really take off! I never understood what they were actually supposed to be raising money for in the ICO? If they had this super trading bot that never lost and made more than 1% a day, why would they possibly need to raise funds?
I had a few friends joining in on this, tried to warn them but they didn't listen. The unbelievable thing is that they said they knew it was a scam, but thought they were early enough so they could cash out in profit.

I know of at least three popular Youtube channels, all of which warned it was a ponzi, and took a lot of heat and negative comments. Too bad they can't have all those thumbs down and reports against their channel removed now that they are proven correct.
And yet some idiots are reinvesting in, and already have done in bitconnect X. Really???
It was a clear scam from the start and the people mentioned above are going to get scammed yet again!
