CC RIDER - the Bitcoin Money Machine - Week 13

On October 27th 2017 I opened an account with https://coinsquare.io, a leading Canadian cryptocurrency exchange. I funded the account with a quick and easy eTransfer of 100$, (95$ after fees), and bought Bitcoin.

Over the following weeks I took profits from Bitcoin's increase in value and added Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and DASH to the mix.

How is CC Rider Performing?

Here is the Growth Chart after this month's bumpy ride. Keep in mind this started with 100$ - it is up 76% in 13 weeks!

The Process

I am inquisitive and analytical by nature - I decided to tinker with moving between the top coins as they moved up and down.

I love the wide swings, there is so much potential there for very significant gains, (or losses too if not actively monitored).

As the Bitcoin holdings grew in value I took off some of the profits into Ethereum and then into Bitcoin Cash. Lastly I added a little DASH with some of the growth.

I am also tracking Litecoin and if it adds value to the mix I will add it at a future date.

The beauty of these 4 coins is that they are among the largest market cap coins.

Also, they usually do not move in unison. When Bitcoin is selling off then another one or two of these four coins is usually going up.

This diversification usually helps smooth out the swings as the total value trends upward.

What can impact Performance?

Good news can lift all 4 coins. Unexpected Bad News, the Black Swans, can lower all 4.

This month has seen more than its fair share of Black Swans. And there are probably more of them out there.

Seems like more than a few government agencies around the globe are breeding Black Swans in an effort to control and defeat Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies in general. The Regulators hope to control the entry and exit points.

CC RIDER - How it Works

I look at how the 4 coins are performing on a daily basis, Input the numbers into a spreadsheet and crunch the numbers. The Output is a % mix, 'a target', that each coin should be of the total mix.

Here is yesterday's comparison of the Target Mix and the Actual Mix. The numbers are close enough that I made no change to the 'Actual' mix.

Here is a graphic output of the Trends from the CC Rider engine. If I was following the output closer, especially if I was working with a larger $ portfolio, I would have been out of Bitcoin for most of the month, ( below the Zero Line ), and out of the other 3 coins over the last couple of weeks.

All 4 coins are trending upwards, a hopeful sign, with Ethereum leading with the strongest 'up' trend line.

The CC Rider engine automatically responds by over weighting top performers in the Target Mix. Currently the Target for Ethereum is 64% of my Portfolio.
