Em uma reunião organizada pela União Internacional de Telecomunicações nesta semana, Yao Qian, diretor do Instituto de Pesquisas de Moedas Digitais do Banco popular da China, teria se vangloriado do potencial de uma moeda digital estatal, sugerindo que existe uma inerente falta de valor nas criptomoedas descentralizadas, como o bitcoin.
