๐Ÿš€ What Cryptos do YOU Own? - December 19th ๐Ÿš€

in #bitcoin โ€ข 7 years ago

๐Ÿš€ Every week, I decided to update the different cryptocurrencies I own and would like to ask you which one do you believe in the most in your respective wallet. ๐Ÿš€

This is the 14th weekly: "What cryptos do You own?"

  • As I work in finance, Stock Markets polls are very useful for fund managers to understand what investors own because they currently like it and what they do not.
  • Usually, in the Stock Market, it is not very good to own a stock that everybody owns; it means that most investors bought it already and therefore, future demand will be low.
  • Whereas understanding which one are under owned is very useful in case a positive news is released on the stock. Since a few investors own it, they will rush to buy some and the price will increase significantly.

My current portfolio and reasons why I own these cryptos:

Cryptocurrencies that I own

  • Ripple (XRP): Signed most of the TOP50 banks and is runned very professionally. It is working with Chinese partners on many projects.
  • Steem: If you read this, you know why. I increased my Holdings under $1.0 price and with SBD sitting at $10+, the price can only go up :D
  • Eosio (EOS): I believe in Dan Larimer; he already developped 2 great projects (Steem and Bitshares) and as the Co-founder of Steemit on @SGTReport said about Dan larimer and its EOS ICO: โ€œThe people who say that there is no product yet, Dan has built 2 of them if they think heโ€™s not gonna build the 3rd one, theyโ€™re crazy. This is the one he always wanted. The other 2 were just helping him get thereโ€. EOS is showing some nice upward trend recently. I can see some โ€œWhalesโ€ are stacking them.
  • Ethereum (ETH): In my opinion, it has been the most exciting project in cryptos so far. This project has been copied or inspire many other hot cryptos (NEO, EOS...). Devon3 gathering brought a lot of visibility on Ethereum's next improvements especially on the scalability issue.
  • Siacoin (SC): Siacoin is a solution that allow companies to use storage in a decentralize on Siacoin network. โ€œMinersโ€ are renting their storage capacity. It is 5-10x less expensive than with traditional companies as Amazon Web Services, Google, etcโ€ฆ
  • Augur (REP): I just like the prediction market project. They have a good team of developers and seem to work very hard on this project.

Cryptocurrencies that I used to own

  • Mysterium (MYST): * The company is developing a Blockchain VPN. As China is trying to implement its Great Internet Wall before 2018, this would block VPN based technology. This project could offer a solution to Chinese and even other people to have more privacy while browsing through the internet.
  • Stratis (STRAT): Stratis offers full service capabilities for the development, deployment and management of blockchain applications and solutions utilizing C#. *Stratis tries to make it easier for companies, organisations or other entities to develop a blockchain app.
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC): I think it is undervalued, dapps and other projects are using it as the Ethereum network is getting crowded.
  • Golem (GLM): It is a cryptocurrency allowing you to use the calculating power of the computers connected to its blockchain network. This is useful for companies looking to rent some calculating power for a project, etcโ€ฆ

My Portfolio on December, 12th

As you can see in last week post, I said I sold most of my coins and used only leverage to make short term profit.
This market is irrational and I realised that I should not fight it. So I decided to HODL a bunch of my favourite coins (EOS, Steem, XRP, REP Siacoin...) and to take half of my SBD profits to buy alts and withdraw the other half.

I realised that if I had sticked to my initial call (HODL EOS), I'll be rich by now. Instead I was trading and stressed...

Therefore, I withdrew ALL my initial investment in cryptos and I am now just enjoying the ride :D

I am long Altcoins and still not interested in BTC

Bitcoin was the first Crypto, butโ€ฆ I always preferred Altcoins (EOS, IOT, XRP, REPโ€ฆ).

Last Week Update

๐Ÿš€ What Cryptos do YOU Own? ๐Ÿš€ December 12th

Finally, What crypto should I look into at the moment?

And you, What do YOU own?

Please remember this is my personal opinion and not a financial/investment advice. You need to do your own research to make your own decision. Investing in cryptocurrencies can lead to financial losses.

I have sold most of my coins in last bear market. I was still holding my ethereum.
Now I am holding some cryptos again and those include;
XRP
ETN
SYS
XVG
NXC
Mona
Xel

I am planning to buy some EOS and IOTA as well.

Good mix, concerning SYS; don't you think that having to download the software is an issue?
EOS and IOTA are definitely coins to watch.

I am trading sys not holding it for long term. So not worry about it.

I only recently dropped Ripple as it does not adhere to my philosophy, good looking strong portofolio and thank you for the description.

I saw your argument on EOS and I am thinking if your philosophy is that Dan the Man has already got projects out there, why doesn't you portofolio contain Stellar Lumens (Jed McCalleb) or Cardano (Charles Hoskinson) ?

It's interesting that you are not holding BTC at all.. why would that be ?

amazing explanation hopefully growing faster I really like your post Thank you for opening a little eye to find out

I'm new to Steemit and to the world of crypto-currency. It is posts like this that help us newbies. It is extremely important for the community to grow beyond the young techy types and become more and more inclusive. My son took the time to explain crypto, and to help get set up to purchase and trade. At one time computers were used and understood primarily by computer geeks and there were those who said they would never be used by the average person. Today everyone uses them. The technology became more and more user-friendly and accessible. So too with crypto currency. So bring others in. Patiently explain to the curious and naysayers alike. It is in their interest and yours, all of ours.

I currently own BTC, ETH and IOTA (well and since yesterday a few Steem but I am still trying to wrap my head around the steem ecosystem... :D). I am currently thinking to buy some ADA aswell... why?

BTC: Well I got them from a friend years ago and started to buy a few more at the beginning auf this year. I think the general concept is great by handling money via democracy prozesses. Sadly the did not manage to implement any working scaling solution so far. Thats making me a bit worried about the practical future. I am certainly wachting this and maybe I have to leave the sinking ship...

ETH: I see that it starts to bring forth many new ideas and startups based on this system. And I also like the idea of this "world computer". Also they implement new features and I see a general roadmap beeing implemented. I think it has some great potential.

IOTA: I used to work for a big scientific institute in germany working on Industry 4.0 solutions so I think the M2M communication is really needed and since they bet upon a totally new concept instead of the regular blockchain I think it also has great potential IF (and thats a big IF) they get adopted by the industry. Yet they have a lot of partnership in the german industrie...

For Ada (or Cardano) I am still looking into the tech behing. Basically they just claim to be the scientific version of ETH and BTC. Not 100% sure if this will work out. In order to push away the already established tech solutions they must really be better or deliver a more sophisticated technical solution. Can not really see this yet but might be.

Great explanation @tfleix.
Thank you for sharing!

Nice article, for a newbie like me it's important to read other experience/vision of the cryptocurrency! Thanks and keep up the good work!

You should take a look into Cardano (ADA). I think this relatively new alt coin could be huge because of its ability to perform private transactions, while still being able to respond quickly to regulators. These two aspects alone (although many more positives exist) could largely prime ADA for mass adoption.

I Hold ethereum and bitcoin. I bought recently some Electroneum because I think has a lot of potential. I started mining Ethereum with Genesis Mining 6 months ago. I wish I hold it because the price tripled in price since then.

I'm a noob, just got Steem !! Allow I did own Bitcoin for about 5 minutes, ha !

Ahah :D. Nice seeing you around ;)

I've dumped most of my Ripple and NEM recently with the spike in price. Holding Ether, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin, QTUM, OMG, STEEM, Vertcoin, NEO, Lisk, Monaco, BAT, Golem and just picked up Cardano & Verge (and have made excellent profits so far).
