The comedian and political commentator treated viewers to a whistle stop tour of crypto – the good, the bad, and the ugly – during Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO. Topics included decentralization, Bitconnect, and blockchain.

🗞 South African Google Searches for Bitcoin Spike Amid Economic Uncertainty

Economic uncertainty appears to have spurred a significant spike in the number of South African citizens engaging with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. As of this writing, South African Google searches for bitcoin currently comprising the highest in proportion to country among the top 66 countries by search traffic.

🗞 Japan's Third-Largest Electric Provider Is Testing Bitcoin On Lightning

Japan's third-largest electricity provider is emerging as one of the first major companies in the world to trial a promising bitcoin payments technology.

Revealed exclusively to CoinDesk, Chubu Electric Power Co. has entered into a proof-of-concept with local bitcoin and Internet of Things (IoT) startup Nayuta, one that finds it exploring how bitcoin payments can be made via the Lightning Network, an in-development protocol that promises to cut costs for bitcoin users.

🗞 Nasdaq-Listed Marathon Begins Bitcoin Mining Operations, Stock Up 32%

Traditional stock investors have just gotten another avenue for indirect exposure to the bitcoin market. A Nasdaq exchange listed former patent management company, Marathon, has changed its focus to ASIC mining and today started producing bitcoin.

As you can see, we are staying around that support line in yellow, testing it for the third time but we still didn't break it really. I hope that we will do a real bounce soon from it because the more we test that line, the more this one is becoming weak.

If it's possible, I'd appreciate if you could announce when the next "call" is on bitcoin futures. I'm not sure where to look for that and without a doubt, imho, there will be another crash to prepare for.
