This week the Republican Senate candidate Austin Petersen announced he accepted the largest federal election campaign contribution settled in digital currency. Petersen, a former Libertarian, has received a total of 24 cryptocurrency donations this year, and the largest was for 0.284 BTC ($4,500 USD).

India will soon have its own rules on bitcoin. The responsibilities of various regulators have been determined, a high-ranking official revealed. Relevant institutions are currently finalizing a comprehensive government policy on cryptocurrencies. Representatives of the Indian crypto community, meanwhile, have quashed fears of an imminent ban.

🗞 Jay Z’s Company Invests in Robinhood’s Cryptocurrency Trading Platform

Renowned rapper and producer Jay Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation, founded in 2008, has invested in Robinhood’s cryptocurrency trading platform.

Arrive, a subsidiary of Roc Nation, stated in an official announcement that it has invested in Robinhood because of its vision to improve the accessibility of financial markets. Arrive’s statement emphasized the importance of Robinhood’s cryptocurrency venture, adding: “Robinhood Crypto (…) will bring commission-free trading of Bitcoin and Ether to the Robinhood platform.”

🗞 Gibraltar To Introduce ‘World’s First’ ICO Regulations

Gibraltar’s government and Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) have announced that in the coming weeks they will develop a draft law that will regulate Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in the British overseas territory, Reuters reported Feb. 9.

The draft law, aiming to regulate the promotion, sale and distribution of digital tokens on the territory of Gibraltar, will be the first ever set of regulations developed specifically for ICOs, the lawmakers claim.

The STEEM tested the previous TOP around 4.80$ but we failed and we are now dropping again in direction of our support line:

I think that we could go test the support line in red and use it to do a new bounce.

However, keep an eye on the Bitcoin because if that one is dropping a lot, we could break easly the support line in red and go test the next support line in orange...
