The SEC's highest-ranking official appears to be softening his stance toward ICOs.

"Is the approach taken in Washington by the SEC adversely affecting distributed ledger technology in other areas? My quick answer is that my hope is that it's actually helping - because this technology is being used for fraud and to the extent that it's being used for fraud, history shows that government comes down harshly on that technology later."

🗞 Reserve Bank Of India Prohibits Banking Services For Cryptocurrency Firms

On Thursday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) barred regulated entities from working with businesses or individuals dealing with cryptocurrencies. However, the RBI also addressed the possibility of a central bank digital currency.

"It has been decided that, with immediate effect, entities regulated by RBI shall not deal with or provide services to any individual or business entities dealing with or settling VCs," wrote Kattoor. "Regulated entities which already provide such services shall exit the relationship within a specified time."

South Korean police have arrested four high-ranking representatives of two cryptocurrency exchanges, including Coinnest’s CEO. They were detained on arrest warrants issued after a fraud investigation, prosecutors said. The executives are accused of embezzling funds belonging to customers and may face additional charges.

As I was saying you yesterday, the MMA20 and the MMA50 were the key here to see in which direction we are going.
We broke the MMA20 (brown line) and we are now sitting on the MMA50 (violet line). If we break the MMA50, we will go quickly test again the support line in brown around 1.50$ but in the case we use the MMA50 as support, nothing is lost to continue the nice break out which started 2 days ago.

It's so hypocrite to say blockchain tech is being used for fraud when even dollars can buy illegal drugs. I hope people can just get real.

Yup, it has been written by OECD that the most used currency for fraud is CASH and USD !
Bitcoin does not even represent 2%.

Ultimately I don't think Steem will have a break out (and Steem is the one that really interests me) until Hard Fork 20, and then only if the changes are positive.

Thanks for sharing the daily news.

Hopefully, the Steem fund can see an upward trend in the next few weeks. I can't imagine that it will take longer than a few months to start seeing some consistent bullish behaviour in the market.
