The University in Switzerland began accepting Bitcoins as a payment for tuition. The
State University of Applied Sciences of Lucerne accepts bitcoins to pay student bills through the intermediation of Bitcoin Suisse AG. However, it is worth noting that the university does not work directly with Bitcoin. According to the information on the university's website, an outside company transfers to its account the equivalent in Swiss francs every week. This is reported by CoinDesk.

"Bitcoin Suisse AG will take risks associated with exchange rate fluctuations," the university reports.

Judging by the information from the site, the university does not expect an instant excitement around the new service. While it is planned that in the first time to pay bills Bitcoin will be interested or want to get acquainted with crypto currency students.

Now, the University of Applied Sciences of Lucerne has enriched the list of educational institutions that have provided their students with payments in Bitcoin. Earlier, King College in New York, the University of Nicosia in Cyprus and the University of Cumbria in the United Kingdom reported on bitcoin support.

It is worth noting that Researchers from the University of Applied Sciences of Lucerne have already participated in a number of block projects, including the development of an identity system on the block air station for the city of Zug. Also, the university is a member of the well-known nonprofit organization Crypto Valley Association in Zug, which includes many crypto-currency start-ups in Switzerland.
