Centralized exchanges will be meeting their match due to atomic swaps. With the amount of hacks we are facing on centralized exchanges, it's about time we move to a new alternative

What is atomic swapping?

Atomic swapping is the ability fort two users to exchange crypto currency through different blockchains! They both use private keys to sign a copy of the transaction, and then the exchange is performed instantly. This has no 3rd parties involved and will keep disrupt exchanges.

The effects

We will see more and more exchanges trying to compete with atomic swaps and adding more and more features to try and compete. But will they hold up?

Poloniex was already defeated by Bittrex due to the continuous listing of different coins, so I believe we must wait and see.
