So you want to mine Bitcoin Gold.

Lets talk about bitcoin gold, its been a rough launch so far.

With the pre-mine announced hours after the main net went online, so people mining were mining for the dev not for themselves. Wallets not syncing and hidden dev fees in pools.

It has pretty much been a train wreck.

Now that the bad is out of the way lets talk about the possibilities. First few days of a coin launch is really where you can get the most work in with your miners. So if you want to risk a few days with Bitcoin Gold this is how you do it.

First your going to need a Wallet that supports bitcoin gold. I recommend Coinomi. which you can find at https://coinomi.com/ it is a mobile wallet so it may just be easier to search for it in you app store.

Next you are going to need to download the miners used for bitcoin gold.
For Nvidia you will want the BTG EWBF miner. I have not yet tested the stock EWBF miner.

For AMD I suggest just downloading the official claymore zcash miner.

After unzipping your mining software it is time to setup the config files.

For Nvidia right click on the start.bat file and edit it, the file contents should look something like:

where your wallet address will replace the --user you must put a .worker name in for pool.gold mine is .Hal1

after this simple setup you are ready to start it up.

For Amd I just open the zcash config file by right clicking and selecting edit. (not the start.bat file) and that should look something like:

Remember to put your worker name in and maker sure to delete the # in front of allpools -1

That is it save the file and start them up.

Though please be aware this is a very messy launch, not much is working yet and there are people not getting paid left and right. I believe mining BTG is very high risk right now, but sometimes you have to risk it for the biscuit.
