Gold.Pool BTG Developers own the pool, stealing from miners, hidden dev fees, total trainwreck.

Hello Crypto Enthusiasts,

Today I want to talk about my experience from the first day of mining bitcoin gold on gold.pool and the horrors of that day.

The day started off fine, I was ready for the main net launch. I spent a good amount of time, getting my miners ready on the test network so I would have no problems on the main.

I have a modest 12 gpu miner, running 6 EVGA 1070 SC and 6 MSI armor 580s, pulling about 4.1k/hs

On launch of the main net me and maybe 10000+ other workers went online, mined for hours to find out the we were pre-mining for the dev team, then we found out the dev of the coin owned the pool, then we found out he was hiding a extra dev fee in the BTG miners he said we "had" to download. Then I guess we were mining on the wrong fork.. Then we lost "everything" when it came back online and we started losing shares left and right. Finally everyone started pulling off of Pool.Gold

After all of that the pool itself just never said anything, finally we got word that they would fix everything... so in the end I ended up mining .001 of a BTG after hashing for 48 hours at 4.1k/hs

I am a little upset by the turn of events surrounding this coin launch. But not only for myself but for the people that bought large portions of hashing power from cloud servers only to lose everything while the pool and dev team cashed in all our work for themselves.

The bitcoin gold team and their pool in my eyes are unprepared, inexperienced, and thieves.

In Closing I hope these people get what they deserve for scamming so many and please don't mine this coin. it is the bitcoin that should have never been.

Thank you for reading everyone.

I'm with ya, bud, holding breath that just as they finally started issueing payments after the F-Up, that they payout on the orphaned chain, which will go a long ways towards restoring some small bit of faith in them. It is possible they had pulled a couple of long nights leading up to the launch, then when it went haywire, and the pool software glitched. they had all their eggs in one "development" basket and he simply needed some sleep. Though I'm not holding my breath.
