Current ticketing firms are able to get away with such deceptive tactics because their platforms lack transparency

Another huge problem in the ticketing platform which is caused by the lack of transparency and verifiability is counterfeit tickets. Counterfeit tickets are a huge problem right now in the secondary markets, which is why a lot of people avoid secondary ticket markets altogether.

Counterfeit tickets are problematic for both buyers and sellers in the secondary markets. It is very difficult for buyers to ensure the tickets they are purchasing on the secondary markets are legitimate. Due to the difficulty in verifying tickets on the secondary markets many people end up buying tickets on them without really knowing if the ticket is real or not. In many instances these people end up being scammed and lose their money. Even when the tickets are not a scam, consumers are filled with cognitive dissonance after they make the purchase because they cannot verify whether their tickets are legitimate or not.

For seller’s counterfeit tickets are a problem as well because the secondary markets are too shady for many people which is why they do not even bother using them.

How it Could be With Slatix?

Slate will allow firms to sell their tickets on the Slatix platform. Blockchain technology is completely transparent which enables users to know exactly how much their tickets will cost, and all transactions will be stored on the blockchain. Due to the complete transparency of blockchain technology, a firm using blockchain technology will be less likely to use deceptive pricing tactics to promote the sale of their tickets.

Slate will use blockchain technology to make all tickets on their platform verifiable. Whenever a unique ticket is listed on the Slatix platform a new unique Slate token is made to act as a verifier for the ticket. This technique will ensure no one will be able to sell counterfeit tickets on the Slatix platform.
