Kosova opens First Bitcoin ATM
Kosovo is not a region that is well known for its cryptocurrency industry. In fact, the country has not had any major events in recent days. However, the country has surprised a few by installing its first ATM in Bitcoin despite the fact that the Central Bank of the nation does not agree with this.
Several media reported how the nation's central bank issued a warning about cryptocurrencies. This is not an uncommon practice, many Central Banks warn the public about the risks of entering the cryptocurrency market, however, it did not have much impact this considering that the ATM was installed.
The ATM was installed by Albvision Group and is located in Pristina, the nation's capital. For now, it only allows the exchange of Bitcoin, but the company made clear that it will allow the use of other future coins. Among these are Ether, Dash, Litecoin and Dogecoin, yes, Dogecoin.
It is also important to note that this is a Bitcoin cashier that allows both the exchange of Bitcoin to fiduciary money and fiduciary to Bitcoin. The machine was manufactured by General Bytes, a company that is at the forefront of the Bitcoin ATM industry.
It will be extremely interesting to have our eyes on Kosovo for a while, considering that little is known of that country on this side of the hemisphere.
