The Bitcoin Mempool Is Empty... Yes, It´s Empty!

One might not believe it after the huge amount of stuck transactions during the rally in December but the mempool is actually empty these days. Instead of incredibly high fees we can enjoy to send transactions for only a few cents around the world in a few minutes these days.

By taking a closer look at the below graph from www.jochen-hoenicke.de we may see the low number of pending transactions, which is just amazing as it more or less means that the Bitcoin network is definitely fully functional and operating properly after all 😉

It´s possible that we might see further scaling issues along the road but I´m certain that Bitcoin will always stay on top and succeed in the end while reaching valuations that are all far beyond our imagination today.

What do you think?
Isn´t Cryptocurrency simply awesome?

Good to know . Crypto On!

I am quite sure the mempool was spammed all the time by Bcash supporters. Always during events in the scaling debate or during a Bcash pump (and dump) there were spikes in the mempool. Hope Bcash will die slowly now and LTC will take the market for small payments (LTC is cheaper, faster, longer track record, not based on hate to BTC, not or less manipulated) till BTC is able to do so. Today I sold my last Bcash and bought LTC for it.

Very good decision. Bcash is just a wannabe copy of Bitcoin and will hopefully die sooner rather than later. There's ss well no benefit to that coin anymore after segwit and lightning...

This news is actually incredible, I feel like bitcoin has really fallen behind as a viable means of payment in the last for months, this will certainly put it back on the map!

Yes, betcoin will stay on the top, whatever it is, which is the basis of all the currencies, and there is no doubt that it will actually reach the highest records

It´s at least for now the most important coin out there and the most well known one all around the globe. It won´t vanish any time soon especially not with all those awesome improvements just like the lightning network :)

yup right dude

Great moment! I am curious if it will fill up again like we've seen :-)

According a report in CNBC
"Cryptocurrency market could hit $1 trillion in 2018 with bitcoin surging to $50,000, experts words"

Well on CNBC they as well tell you to buy Ripple above 3$ and to sell it at 0.70$... So I´m not really sure whether you should believe them after all but I at least agree with them on a way higher market cap at the end of the year :)

Agreed! We shouldn't listen to mainstream in crypto world :)

just amazing!

Nice @steembusiness 👍👍👍👍👍

its definitely on a good way, but still far away from what fiat can do in terms of transactions per seconds

Yes, I noticed this just the other day. Did a transfer in btc from hashflare (they famously complained about long wait times and high fees around Dec) and the transaction landed in less than 5 seconds. I was expecting to wait at least a few hours.

This is great news as it was not looking good for bitcoin for a while during all that fuss.
