GET SOME PERSPECTIVE (History of Bitcoin's CRASHES)

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I made this chart to give some perspective of how insignificant the currenct Bitcoin pullback is.

Link to my tradingview post : https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/BH1WlmRr-Get-some-perspective-BTC-Long-term-Hodl/ (Charted on a Log- graph)

This chart is giving perspective how strong bulls have been over the years. It should come to no surprise that this hasnt even been the greatest drop in the history of bitcoins price action.

The current fall in it's price has greatly been fueled by all the FUD/ negative press, but like they say there is no such thing as bad press.

What can be learnt from History:

-->Do not a fit/Panic in a crash it's probably a buy opportunity
-->In a crash and want motivation to HODL just zoom out and relax.
-->Even if you did recently buy at ATH and it did go down it will sooner or later reach your target/ Break even point.

It's not about having the most accurate entry or exit, not even the most professional traders can time it 100% of the times. Think of Michael Burry (The Big Short) or other investment funds who act during or prior to such a crisis, bubble, healthy correction (call it whatever you want).
They rarely squeeze a trade out from the absolute bottom to the absolute top. Sure, they're doing their best to do so - but in the end it's the final result that matters. And speaking of this, it simply doesn't matter that much if you've bought in at $5000 or $10000. Hell, let Bitcoin even drop to 4k,That would be even better, as we could buy at much cheaper levels. And once Bitcoin and the altcoins start to gain bullish momentum again, you'll hear the exact same words, you'll read the exact same headlines on the very same magazines and newspapers. And yes, there will be again regulatory talk going on, people spreading rumours, maybe some bans, etc.
The daily price action should not matter in the Mid to Long term perspective.

These markets are very emotional and very volatile.

Some basics you should know going into the market :

--> Differentiate Ponzi from real value projects(with is hard but with appropriate research it is possible)
--> Beware of buying tops or FOMOS, you might end up losing or waiting long periods of time before getting anything back.
-->Do your homework before investing. (Do not take your Moms opinion :P)
-->Basics of reading a chart- technical analysis

Lastly, I'm sure when you ask your friends/family to buy Bitcoin they would say "it's crashed soo much with reference of all the news/FUD" this is what people probably told when Bitcoin crashed from 1200 to 150usd.

Don't be sheep. Don't panic. Be patient

Great 👍 post I totally agree. There seems to be a lot of people that don’t like crypto coins and are trying to do anything and everything to destroy it. Keep up the good work 👍👏👏👏😃 resteemed

Thanks a lot bro :)
