“Switzerland” Wants to Become “Crypto Nation”

I am sharing this blog to you after reading articles on the internet with proper studies. Earlier in this year the country’s economic minister, Johann Schneider-Ammann, said his country wants to become a “Crypto Nation.” In February, Finma published guidelines for ICO (initial coin offering) tokens.

News from Swiss Stock Exchange

Now everyone is looking at Switzerland's main stock exchange. This made a great announcement a few days ago, where they are coming up with a new platform, where arrangements for trading, settlement and everything will be done.

This news has been found from the reports of government employees who are working on sending crypto assets to the banking services.

Digital Exchange by SIX

SIX, operates with Switzerland’s principal stock exchange, announced on last Friday, it is going to be developed a new digital platform where they will provide a completely integrated trading, settlement and safe infrastructure.

The SIX Exchange is going to create the platform named as the Swiss Digital Exchange (SDX).
The SIX exchange is under the authority of –
• FINMA (swiss financial market supervisory authority)
• Swiss National Bank.

SIX CEO – ‘Jos Dijsselhof’ commented in a press meeting -“This is the beginning of a new era for capital markets infrastructures. For us it is abundantly clear that much of what is going on in the digital space is here to stay and will define the future of our industry”.

The company claims that – It will fill the gap between traditional financial services and digital communities.

SDX Will Trade Bitcoin Directly?

• Doesn’t mentioned about direct trading of any virtual currencies.
• SDX platform will be ready to launch within first half – next year.
• Will offer end to end trading platform.
• Will provide settlement.
• Will provide custody service for Bitcoin.
• They will also provide custody services for ICO tokens.
• Will be focused on Blockchain distributed ledger tech.
