A small portion of the $value listed on each of your videos, also goes to the curators (up voters and re-steemers) because they help gain you rep points and exposure across the platform. As I type this out, this video is currently showing $5.96, and after 7 days you should see approx. $4.25, and the remainder will get split between the curators based on their Steem Power holdings. That's all just a ball park, I am simplifying the system somewhat.

Thanks for the help, I actually wasn't aware how it worked, but this cleared it up for me and motivated me to look up how Steem actually works (:
