SegWit2X 관련 코인원의 입장 안내
안녕하세요, 코인원입니다.
11월 16일 예정된 SegWit2x와 관련한 코인원의 입장을 안내드립니다.
- SegWit2x란?
기존 8월에 진행되었던 SegWit 소프트포크에 이어서 11월 16일 블록 사이즈를 1MB에서 2MB로 늘리기 위한 하드포크가 포함된 업그레이드입니다.
기존 비트코인의 확장성 문제를 해결하기 위하여 제안된 SegWit이 지난 8월 비트코인의 블록체인에 성공적으로 적용이 되었고, 추가적으로 블록사이즈를 2MB로 키우기 위한 SegWit2x가 예정되어 있습니다. 따라서, 하드포크로 인하여 이후 블록사이즈를 2MB로 키운 새로운 블록체인과 그대로 1MB로 남아있는 블록체인으로 분리될 가능성이 있으며. 또한, 비트코인을 주도적으로 개발해온 비트코인 코어 개발자들 중심으로 기존 블록체인을 지지함에 따라, 새로운 암호화폐가 파생될 수 있습니다.
코인원은 기존 공지와 같이 (https://coinone.co.kr/talk/notice/230/?page=1) 하드포크로 인한 새로운 암호화폐에 대하여 잔고 생성 및 입출금을 지원할 예정입니다. 만약, 새로운 암호화폐가 발생될 시 (잠정적으로 B2X로 명명), 하드포크 발생 시점 (블록넘버 494,784, 11월 16일 오전 10시 예정) 직전에 비트코인을 보유하고 계신 회원님들께서는 같은 비율의 B2X를 지급받으실 수 있습니다. 발생시점은 블록넘버가 기준이 되며 예상되는 시간은 블록생성 추이에 따라 변동될 수 있습니다.
하지만, 현재 SegWit2x에서는 Replay protection이 구현되어있지 않아 안정적이지 않은 상태입니다. 따라서, 입출금 및 상장 시점은 아직 결정되지 않았으며, 향후 일정은 후속 공지로 안내드리겠습니다. 또한, 하드포크 발생시점의 잔고 점검을 위해 일시적으로 해당 암호화폐의 입출금 및 거래가 중지될 수 있음을 알려드립니다.

We would like to notice for upcoming event of SegWit2x.
- What is SegWit2x?
An upgrade that includes a hardfork to increase the block size from 1MB to 2MB on November 16, following the last SegWit softfork that was on August.
In order to solve the scalability issue of Bitcoin, SegWit has successfully applied on August, and SegWit2x is planned to increase the block size to 2MB. Therefore, it is possible to be split into a new blockchain which has been applied the SegWit2x and a remaining blockchain as 1MB. In addition, as Bitcoin core developers who have been developing Bitcoin support the existing blockchain, a new cryptocurrency can be derived by the new blockchain.
Coinone will support the balance and withdrawal for the new cryptocurrency due to SegWit2x as with a previous announcement (https://coinone.co.kr/talk/notice/230/?page=1). If the new coin is occurred (provisionally named as B2X), the members who hold the Bitcoin before the time of the hardfork (block number 494,784, scheduled on November 16 at 10:00 am) will be credited B2X as the equivalent amount of BTC.
However, since there is no replay protection in the current SegWit2x, we recognised that is not stable yet. We will inform you the exact time of deposit, withdrawal, and listing as soon as it determined as soon as possible. Also, trade and withdrawal of the cryptocurrency may be temporarily suspended in order to check the balance at the time of the hardfork.
