Ripple - The Future of Bitcoin?
I think Bitcoin will lead the way for a few years. It was the first crypto and for now it is the one that people turn to when they see no honest alternative. However, like all technologies, Bitcoin will be replaced by more efficient and more larger scale alternatives. That is inevitable - the public (and industry) will follow the path of least resistance. This may be Ripple or maybe some other coin with fewer hang-ups like NEM. Who really knows but my feeling is that it will be a coin that is also accepted as a mode of transfer by all the major banks and Ripple is certainly looking like a viable candidate
Japanese banks have started to use Ripple. Growth potential is enormous.
I´m not too deep into Ripple yet. But as they are using it to connect the traditional banks worldwide the currency used (Ripples) has to be quite stable on the long run as the banks might otherwise face issues. So I don´t think the price will skyrocket like e.g. the one of Bitcoin does. How do you see this?
If a lot of major banks use Ripple for transfers then they will have to buy up huge volumes of coins and the market cap wont be like anything we have seen before with alt coins. If Ripple reaches $1 there wont be enough Ripple to cope with that level of international transfer. It would have to be much higher.
