MMCrypto, DavinciJ15 and the Crypto Super-Friends

"Welcome Crypto Friends!..."

Thus begins most of the videos hosted by co-founder Chris Jaszczynski on the official MMCrypto YouTube channel. Based in Germany, Chris' enthusiasm and positive energy is immediately noticeable. His welcome to viewers is not contrived. Instead it's a harbinger of the passion that Chris and the rest of the MMCrypto team has for cryptocurrency and its still-budding community.

I was introduced to MMCrypto and Chris when they recently hosted their first YouTube interview with Davinci Jeremie, known online and among the crypto community as "Davincij15".

Davinci had become an overnight sensation when a Reddit thread pointed out his eerily accurate Bitcoin calls dating back to 2011, including its rise, the Mt.Gox collapse and even predicting the end of its first real bull run with astonishing clarity. Another very energetic and likable guy, Davinci is all smiles in his videos, and is full of jovial laughs that cannot help but bring a smile to your face.

Indeed, these guys are true gems in the crypto community. And at a time when there are more and more negative people and shady characters, we really need guys like Chris and Davinci as guiding lights in the space.

We will have an interview with Davinci at some point. When contacted, he was actually very busy and traveling to Davos, Switzerland where he is attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) along with Chris. Thankfully, Chris was able to take some time out of his day while traveling to answer some questions for us. Enjoy!

RoninGaijin: Chris, one of the first things people will notice upon watching any of your YouTube videos is your positive energy and enthusiasm for all things crypto. What is it that inspires and drives this passion for you?

Chris: "First of all thanks for having me on your Blog. It’s a big pleasure to answer your questions and represent MMCrypto. That being said also thanks for your kind words. Indeed I feel this energy always when I’m talking about Cryptocurrencies. I have studied economics - and unlike most of my colleagues I LOVED IT! As I started with crypto it was mostly because of making capital gains. But the more time passes the more I can truly say I am here for the bigger vision. The lower the price goes the more I am convinced in Bitcoin (and very very few selected other crypto’s). I guess that’s where the energy is coming from."

RG: Davinci Jeremie (or “Davincij15”) came to fame seemingly overnight thanks to some folks on Reddit who discovered his eerily accurate Bitcoin predictions from as far back as 2011. You were able to get him on your YouTube show very quickly and you two instantly established some great chemistry together, subsequently doing several more videos together (and counting). What is your favorite part about being able to collaborate with Davinci through these videos?

Chris: "It’s really amazing to have him on our MMCrypto show. Not only that we are able to learn, when we are not recording we have some great discussions and sharing knowledge from different angles. There is one thing I really like about him. You know that people say that there is a private face which differs from the public face? That’s not the case for Davinci. We are really looking forward to create much more content together."

RG: Tell us how the integration of Davinci’s altcoin analysis into your already great MMCrypto spreadsheet came about.

Chris: "Thanks for mentioning that. As you know we evaluated hundreds, nearly a thousand ICOs. Being very strict on them resulted in 99% of them not passing, lol. So we wanted to do the same for Altcoins. When Davinci came across with his plan to evaluate Altcoins we immediately saw the synergies. We have all the coding set for the spreadsheet. So all we will have to do is implement his formula. And whenever we want we can add a second tab with the MMCrypto evaluation criteria just next to it. That will be lit!"

RG: While the crypto community is mostly very welcoming and friendly and filled with some truly great people there doesn’t seem to be too many “influencers” out there who go out of their way to help others the way you at MMCrypto and Davinci have. Why do you think this is?

Chris: "As in all commercial niches it’s about money. And crypto has become some kind of a commercial niche as well. It’s totally not a bad thing to earn money what you do. Also not as an influencer. But when it comes to things like reviews, opinions etc. that never should be paid! There are some influencers out there sticking to that rule, but certainly by far not all. I’m sure that’s what people recognize, but it takes some time."😃

RG: What is your overall outlook on the future of crypto and the crypto community?

Chris: "I will share what, in our (MMCrypto) opinion, has the highest probability. The crypto community got washed out during the last year gets washed out still. We are not there yet. We might need a boring consolidation phase to get that last short sighted people out. In terms of crypto the future is very bright. We truly believe Bitcoin has a great future. Second layer solutions for Bitcoin are Altcoin killers! It’s crazy to see how lightning is evolving not only on their liquidity point of view but also on the tech side. Some weeks ago people had to send requests for payments, and now… BOOM… this inconvenience is fixed. There will be only a VERY few Altcoins which will succeed long term. Not talking about the next wave, which might pump a-coins again. We enjoy talking about the very long run. And that is what it comes down to."

RG: On that front, you’re at the World Economic Forum with others from MMCrypto (and Davinci). This is great and many of us will be quite keen to follow any updates you all share from there. What should we expect as far as MMCrypto’s coverage of the WEF?

Chris: "We are really looking forward to Davos and the WEF. In fact we are on our way while this interview. Regarding the Content we are not sure. It will really depend on how much time we have and what our experiences are. This will be a great experience and we hope to share as much as possible."

RG: Last year, you had a big meetup in Berlin. Can we expect another one in the future (perhaps this year)? If so, any news on that you can share at this point?

Chris: "Yes man! We are definitely planning to do another meetup as soon as possible! We can’t wait to meet the community again. I guess the best way to stay updated is to jump on our huge telegram community. We will definitely keep everyone posted in there (Davinci is in there as well 😝). We are happy to welcome you all!"😃
