Will Bitcoin hit $10,000 USD by January 1st

There have been a ton of people predicting the price of Bitcoin and some of those prediction have come true. In the past month the most prevalent prediction is that Bitcoin will hit $10,000 USD by January 1st. I believe that prediction could be true if you look at the trends of Bitcoin for the past year.

Bitcoin opened January 1st 2017 at $966.63 USD and has since grown to $8443.10 USD as of the time of this post. That's almost a 900% increase in a little less than 11 months. Most of the growth really didn't start until the month of August following the Bitcoin cash fork. At that time Bitcoin skyrocketed to nearly 5k before correcting in September.

Now if we take a look at what the price of Bitcoin has done in the month of November we see that even with the Bitcoin cash attack the price has still continued to grow. Bitcoin opened the month of November at a price of $6,400 USD and is now $8,400 USD. Even if the growth of Bitcoin slows a little the price should still rise to $10,000 USD by years end.

While I do think that the predictions are very plausible I do not recommend you go out and buy Bitcoin without doing your own research, and beware Bitcoin has a tendency to correct when it hits major milestones.
