That's because 80-100 years when clubs like Liverpool and Man United were created , India was under colonial rule. Something you might have read in books. So kinda financially impossible to create such clubs.
India does have old Football Clubs which are still around today: East Bengal, Mogun Bagan, Mohammadean are all over 100 years old.
