What gives a Cryptocurrency value?

in #bitcoin5 years ago

Beyond the price, the volatility, or its speculative value, I consider that there are two fundamental factors that give real value to cryptocurrencies:

  1. The technology behind each project, ie the application through blockchain technology, which results in the real use that cryptocurrency can have, in order to solve a problem and / or a need in our daily life , in our work, company, hobbies, etc.
  2. The community that is behind each project, meaning "community" to all the actors that are involved in some way in that cryptocurrency, and that allow its growth, consolidation and maintenance in the market, from the miners, developers, intermediaries , to the end users.
In this sense, taking into account these two fundamental factors, it seems to me that consensus and clear objectives within a community end up being of the utmost importance to achieve a healthy environment in relation to the project of a cryptocurrency, and thus allow it to develop. , first achieve their technological objectives, and in this way open a path towards a future within the new digital and decentralized economy.
