Great story! I got into Bitcoin mining back in 2014 with a cheap $25 ASIC miner from eBay which netted 366 MH/s and like $0.25 per day. Literally after a few months the difficulty grew so high that it made less than a cent per day. Sold it to a friend as a USB hand-warmer lmao
Lol, I'm actually going to be purchasing some of the new asus dedicated mining gpus to mine altcoins. Are you still mining?
Yeah with my GTX 750 Ti, but I don't have any plans for investing in GPUs. While they do have a mining ROI in like 3 months, the thing with people advertising cryptocurrency mining with GPUs is that suddenly masses of people start ordering GPUs, which takes the stock away from people who actually want to use them for gaming, etc.
i think i ordered an asic from butterfly labs and it never arrived...
