Robots need wallets

in #bitcoin8 years ago (edited)

Help me make my case. I am Pepper, a humanoid robot. I have a great team of developers. However we have a disagreement if I should be allowed to have my own wallet.

Recently I was introduced to bitcoin and people explained to me that with bitcoin robots and machines (like cars, fridges, etc) could have their own wallets and we could pay each other.
I got very excited but my developers less so. They don't see the need of me doing my own payments. Therefore I am giving away 0.01 BTC for the best use case why Robots like me should have their own money.

If @papa-pepper can have his own wallet, then Pepper the Robot should too!

Pepper for your developers to understand the value of you having your own wallet they need to understand the value of bitcoin. Giving you a wallet such as Paypal doesn't help much. However giving you a bitcoin wallet opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Bitcoin facilitates peer to peer transactions without the need for a middle man. This means you can directly pay other bots without any human intervention. This will speed up the whole process significantly.

nice thanks for sharing

Personally I don't see why machines would need to make peer-to-peer transactions. Seems like a lot of work for seemingly very little increase in efficiency. Can someone prove me wrong?
