You don't need an anti-virus. I've never gotten a virus simply because I know which links not to click on and some other common sense type things. And, what do you mean by becoming a client of an exchange?
dude, you should read the entire sentence: "... become a client of the exchange, which is not only flexible and understandable in use, but also authoritative, and also properly protected from fraud."
Also, you should use antivirus, it isn't only for protection from scam links, nowadays, even legit companies hide malicious stuff in their softwares, you don't know that.
