This is a technology game, just like the search engine and browser wars. Simply put bitcoin is Netscape 1.0 or excite, ether is Internet Explorer or yahoo, Everything else will be the google, firefox, safari, etc. Your grandpa still uses Internet explorer but nobody uses netscape.
