This is so cool, no time to read it all now but tomorrow perhaps. I've already looked at most of the presentation.
But I wanted to share an important fact if indeed the LBR link is accurate:
Wright:
‘to people like that bitcoin seems a bit of a fudge. It works, but it’s not mathematically elegant.’
LBR
‘Wei said that?’
Wright:
‘Wei was very polite. But others said it: Adam Back, Nick Szabo. They would probably like to find a more elegant solution to the problem. Perhaps they see the mining system in bitcoin as wasteful: there’s wasted computation in my system – machines which are trying to solve problems and not winning. But that’s like society.’
LBR
‘Are these early cryptocurrency people in a state of rivalry?’
Wright:
‘Yes, but it doesn’t matter.’
What you could see here is the difference between Bitshares/Steemit/Graphene and bitcoin! I'm sure Steemit wasn't even alive then or was it?
