CME to Launch Bitcoin Options

The Derivatives Exchange CME which launched the Bitcoin Futures Two years ago has now announced that it will launch Bitcoin Options in January 2020.

But this is awaiting the approval of the regulators.

CME has told that it has had an increasing demand for it's Bitcoin Futures with a daily volume of approximately 6500 Bitcoin Contracts , i.e. approximately 32500 Bitcoins since each CME Futures contract is for 5 Bitcoins.

But this isn't much bullish for bitcoin the reason for that being,

These Upcoming Bitcoin Options will not be Physically Delivered Bitcoin instead, they will be based on the CME Bitcoin Futures itself.

 But in the Long-term this would be another Medium of Entry for the Traditional Investors into Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies.
