Good overview. I am not holding much bitcoin right now, mostly other cryptocurrencies. I think I will keep it that way until we know what is happening for sure.
Have your BTC in a wallet you control the private keys to by August 1 and you will receive both coins. And more than likely, BCC will be dumped like a lump of red hot coal, the moment trading on it resumes after the actual fork if it goes thru. There is much controversy over this coin. It's proposal could be motivated simply by miner frustration at the viaBTC pool or it could have some more sinister central gov/banker backing as well. Time and history will tell, but I suspect the real motivation behind it is pump & dump. A lot of folks are excited that it is trading futures for like $300 or so bucks... but it was $900 or so a few days ago, so I'd consider treading carefully in a strictly short term only on this one, and don't be left in a HODL position on this too long without checking daily or even hourly on it's progression after AUG 1. I have a feeling a lot of BCC investors looking for moon Lambos on this will be holding empty bags. Not pro investment advice, just my two satoshis.
