Is there a project out there that is doing equally good if not better than BTC the last 30 days? I think there is.
I belong to the group of people whose crypto portfolio is kinda...narrow so to speak. What that means is that 99% of the fiat money I've injected to crypto is invested in BTC (obviously), STEEM...and LTC (huge believer.)
I've also invested in HIVE lately, and I will continue to do so, but the majority of my HIVE stake was airdropped...just like yous.
It's no secret that BTC is the battle ram of all crypto and if there is one chance that crypto will go mainstream in the future it will be because of BTC. It's technology might be old news compared to Hive or Steem but the average person out there doesn't know that.
One could say that more or less I have put all my eggs in one basket...which is wrong.
Wrong wrong wrong.
It was time to diversify a little. Read a few articles on the Internet, and started digging a little. Numbers and charts are fascinating if you ask me and while I am not an analyst nor a "crypto expert" some facts are undisputed.
Facts like the following chart.
Let me introduce to you...MONERO (XMR). OK..OK...most of you are familiar with it, I know. But here are a couple of things those who aren't familiar with it should know.
A) It's a private cryptocurrency aka --> literally nobody can see and track other peoples transactions.
B) It's currently probably the only project out there that is doing equally good if not better than BTC the last 30 days.
Ever since the glorious BTC's dive on the 12th / 13th of March which drove the price down to $4000, XMR is one of the very few crypto (can't go through all 6K coins alright?) gimme a break... that doubled its price USD wise, and is also doing great against BTC...Satoshi wise.
From $30.5 all the way up to $60. That's 100% profits so far...
And from 0.0061/BTC to 0.0080/BTC...
Well it seems to me that people are desperately looking for privacy...which could drive the price a lot higher.
What the heck...I grabbed about 20 of them.
I keep saying that the upcoming bull-run no clue if it will start tomorrow or 5 years from now will make he previous one look like a dwarf...
With this said there's a good chance that XMR could smash its previous ATH ~540$

Interesting investment idea. Might be surprised when the price of your 20 Monero will increase.
Just wondering if you were aware that encrypted chains, like XMR, are now banned in such countries as Japan? Like Chance the Gardener, federal governments around the world like to watch.
On a need basis, like a requirement to get your heroin from the internet, then XMR can be handy. If you want more privacy yet not to the point of using contribrand crypto then the new shuffle of BCH may be less of a risky bet.
From my understanding the XMR devs are small block enthusiasts, as well, like the rest of the BTC crowd. Not that that had me dumping my BTC after the fork mind you. 😎
On the short term XMR is getting a lot of hype and spike at the moment, so this is not meant as financial advice but more a look at the political ramifications of the technology itself.
Well, I think I am good with XMR.

Thanks for the tip. Will look into that. By my understanding BTC is still the powerhouse of hashing power; still accounting for over 80% by my understanding. Max Keiser suggested in the 90%'s the other day but he tends to get worked up and exaggerate sometimes in my opinion. 😎
