He stood for elections in 2016, as a Libertarian Party nomination. However, he lost it to former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson.

McAfee is guaranteed a chance of winning with crypto maniacs willing to vote for him as he will promote the use of cryptocurrencies against the current fiat currencies.

McAfee might be the answer to getting cryptocurrency entirely into the mainstream economy.

The decision of running for president coincides with the physical cryptocurrency he has announced, called the “McAfee Redemption Unit” (MRU).
