RE: Breaking news: Craig is still a liar

I think there's been a lot of things, a lot of products that started with one intention and with the passing of time morphed into something else.

At the expense of being a bit nasty, but to really drive my point home. Lysol started as a vaginal douche (no joke), now we clean counters with it. You could say that it survived because it adapted.

So, for me the original idea of Bitcoin is not sacred. That is to say, it's obvious that the market wanted and wants a new gold. Seems like BTC is becoming it. This could change of course, but we seem to be on course.

I don't think however that forks can't co-exist. To me this is not only fine, but probably necessary for the overall health of the ecosystem. People need to test things, people need to try to implement their own scaling solutions and may the best one win.

Do I think BTC is going to be used as currency in the future? Not at all, I think it's going to be used as our way to store our patrimony. Very much like we have today our savings (those who do at least), and we will use cryptocurrencies with inflationary algos for the day to day stuff.

Sort:

So much would be gained from Core taking the next step and deciding: do we want store of value, or do we want fungibility as it seems that they don't want both and I agree with you on coexistence as well, it seems like every single day a new use case for blockchain is proposed and a lot of first movers won't be able to capitulate on the advantage as the competition is so thick and what seems to work is getting the most exposure out there. It seems that eos dwarfed ETH before it was even released and it continues to do so, despite that ETH has had a few years headstart.

Yes, I think EOS gets hate because of Larimer's political inclinations. Which to me are bening, but to some they are too disruptive.

But, to say EOS sucks because Larimer is a scammer(Which is argued by some). Is to completely miss the point of decentralization while claiming to be part of this new movement.

Full disclosure, I do have a little bag of EOS. Nothing too crazy. But I see it succeeding a lot more than I see Ether. At least at this point in time.
