Everyone loves the idea of something for nothing and that's sort of what airdrops are. But I mostly conceptualized of them as something that required me to have some investment in a cryptocurrency before I could claim the rewards. That's definitely true for a lot of airdrops. Many are "token holder" airdrops which are often structured so that the airdrop participant buys and holds some crypto, shares their public wallet addresses via the airdrop signup page, and receives some amount of another cryptocurrency as a reward for holding a coin.

While token holder airdrops are cool, that's not how the majority of airdrops actually work. As social media companies like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube continue to block cryptocurrency advertising, there is a growing need in the blockchain community to spread the plethora of brilliant project ideas with potential ICO investors and future token holders and traders. This is how many airdrops appear to be working today. One learns about the token issuing company by exploring their website, videos, and social media. Most of the tokens are ERC-20 tokens so you can potentially use a single Ethereum wallet address for most or all of your airdrops.

What's the best way to collect free crypto?
I've been exploring various airdrops and ICOs, trying to understand where the opportunity is in this market. I just started investigating the airdrop space because my GPU miners were running smooth and I basically reached my electrical draw capacity so I can't continue growing my mining operation for a little while. With a little bit of extra time, and a whole lot of curiosity about the daily flood of new blockchain startups, I decided to see what was entailed in claiming non-token holder airdrops. I was shocked to learn that every day there are new opportunities to claim tokens simply for learning about them, joining their Telegram and following their social media accounts.

I highly recommend download this application called, QuickTextPaste, which allow you to preprogram your Wallet address, email address, social media links, and other particulars as keyboard shortcuts. This will allow you to fly through the airdrop claim process, then you can just sit back and wait for their token sales to complete to receive your airdropped ERC-20 tokens to your wallet address!

What are bounties?

Bounties are basically like airdrops on steroids. Instead of just joining a group or liking a page, bounties sort of raise the stakes. You can share posts regularly, write blog posts, make youtube videos and more! Bounties are essentially just a creative and flexible way for blockchain companies to achieve some relatively organic reach in sharing their vision which is becoming increasingly difficult on centralized social media platforms. Bounties generally pay a lot more, so they are an excellent way to focus your efforts on the best companies. As you work your way down the airdrop list, you'll begin to develop some favorites and some of those while offer bounties. If you're particularly bullish on a project, it may be a great idea to participate in their bounty so that you can stash a ton of tokens, in some cases, before their ICO even launches!
