Bittrex to Binance - Transferring value

Bittrex has been my place where I started my initial investment. Although small, I was able to get the BTC back that I invested by HODLing for 6 months, INTENSE regret for not holding BTC, but i'm glad to see it back.

After a few small day trades, I realized that I should rather just wait for my longs. I have been researching the general crypto space for the last 6 months, waiting for my BTC value to climb back up. I am still waiting for the swings but would like to diversify my portfolio some more.

For the first time I have the need again to take currency out of Bittrex and I am realizing a lot of my holdings will cost me an arm and leg to transfer.

I had some BTG on Bittrex that I sent to my Binance account with no problem and a low fee. Would buying a low transaction fee coin/currency be the vehicle for transferring value across these exchanges?
