IOTA
This coin is in the top 10. They want to make a giant marketplace for IoT sensor data. They haven’t actually built it yet. There is no evidence anyone wants or needs this service. Also they had a pretend deal with Microsoft they used to pump their coin.
Tron
How a basic ERC20 coin with a copied whitepaper could enter the top 10 is sign of how dire things have become. The only thing impressive about Tron is Justin “Shillmachine” Sun, the 20 something founder. His daily tweets are trying to pump life back into his worthless coin, but it will not work until they actually deliver on some sort of a working product.
BitConnect
Lol this is a Ponzi scheme just google it. Currently they are trying to do an ICO, likely in a last ditch attempt to save their crumbling scheme. So far regulators are not taking kindly to this approach.
Dogecoin
Shiba Inu themed pump machine. This coin was made as a joke, the fact that it still has a $1B+ market cap is nuts.
Dentacoin
The cryptocurrency for dentists! WTF, why do dentists need a cryptocurrency? (They probably don’t)

Yeah the software behind Ripple seems legit to me. If they really can attract banks to use it, there might be something more to it. Still that even doesn't mean the currency XRP will make it... We'll see I guess.
