It might make sense to make bitcoin your savings account

Things have gone down in value when priced in btc.

In dollars everything goes up, always.

But in btc we have seen a major drop.

Is this keeps up it will make a ton of sense to save in bitcoin, but will it?

The easy gains have been made so don't expect these kinds of returns.

That being said, it will still greatly beat holding dollars.
