What Would Satoshi Think?
Why can't miners and developers work together to save bitcoin?
July has been a very emotional month for cryptocurrencies and most of the fear and anxiety comes from the recent proposed changes to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the beating heart of cryptocurrency but also acts as the Achilles heel for cryptocurrency markets.
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a digital payment system invented by an unknown programmer, or a group of programmers, under the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It was released as open-source software in 2009. The system is peer-to-peer, and transactions take place between users directly, without an intermediary.
What would Satoshi Nakamoto think if you told him you planned to split his precious Bitcoin into three new and 'improved' versions?
If Satoshi was indeed a real person (jury is still out), I don't think he would appreciate the fact that because of the petty disputes of miners and developers the revolutionary new currency and payment method he invented was now in danger of losing its greatest inherent value.
What do you guys think of this whole split possibility?
