ICO Project Evaluation Guide - Part 2
Advisor: Technical Advisor
When it comes to mentoring, we will associate those who have long-term experience in an area that the project needs, often the areas dev team is lacking.
From the perspective of an ICO publisher, there are two ways of thinking about choosing an advisor:
Option 1:
Choose a person who expects the crowd to easily mobilize capital, no matter if he or she has any technical support for the team or not, just show up on the face of the website for people to trust the investment.
Option 2:
Choose the professional that the team needs. Having the mentors of those people in the team, surely the project will go faster and farther.
For projects going long, surely the way 2 would be to help them be more.
Strategic Partner
Just like advisors, strategic partners are reputable organizations operating in a certain field.
Being a strategic partner, of course there must be two-way cooperation to bring benefits to each other.
Many projects nowadays are trying to put as many strategic partners as possible in order to increase their credibility, but sometimes the two sides have nothing to do with each other.
If the projects involved and cooperative benefit each other really do not say anything, of course as much as possible.
I just want to talk about the projects put into style and beauty profile do not cooperate with each other to benefit each other.
So when you look at the strategic partnerships of a project, besides looking at the names, at least you should figure out how these companies will work together and how the relationship is. "make sense"? Is this cooperation beneficial to both parties?
If that happens, it's definitely a sign of a good project.
Product
When evaluating the product portfolio of the ico project, there are three types of products that you will need to consider:
Type 1
Just stopped at the idea level and whitepaper, there is no sign of product development
At the moment there are so many ICO projects to invest in today, you should not invest in projects that have only one whitepaper but no sample products.
There will be many of you say that of course they have not developed the product, they need money to get started, if they had money, then why do they need ICO ?
Yes, from a beginner's perspective, of course we need money so new ICO to call the capital.
But in the investor perspective, if you have a lump sum, you have two offers and only one of them is in the middle of a project that has not done anything and a project they have paid for themselves or managed to source. Developed demo products, then you will invest in any project?
Not to mention how much money to raise, but just self-management to develop the project, it shows that dev team is very devoted to the project.
Even if there is no money in their hand, they will also think of ways to get money to develop the project, even without money, they also do the same.
In addition, the early management also showed that the dev team has enough initiative to respond to any situation.
And whether we have money or no money to invest in, they will also manage. It is the ability of the dev team to adapt and respond quickly to their survival and development.
For the teams, they always need money and then do the high possibility of running out of the project will stand still waiting for more money to do next.
Our capital is limited while many projects call for investment.
Always be smart in putting money in the right place.
Type 2
Proof of concept / demo / testnet
As mentioned above, the projects with this product in group 2 will give us a higher belief about team dev.
There is another idea that I have not mentioned above, that the project has developed demo products will usually plan more realistic development than the ones with only whitepaper.
The reason is that when you think things are usually very easy but when you start to code, a lot of problems will arise.
These problems are often unforeseen if only at the idea level.
Only when it comes to work, the difficulty is new and we need to handle it now.
A demo version is not 100% complete in terms of ideas but at least it shows you the dedication of the dev team and the potential pitfalls in the development of the product, from which the project is planned for the same and more realistic.
Type 3
Final version
This is the type we will mostly expect, also the type with the least projects.
Projects of this type usually having finished product development and almost as much as ICO is to scale business faster.
Examples : Pundi X, Wabi ...
