Exactly! He is banking on the fact that there will be hyperinflation in the fiat world by the end of 2020. Very likely that the combined effect of Bitcoin's deflation with fiat inflation will allow his prediction to come true! In the future I can see $100 having the purchasing power of a $20 bill right now.

We all play various roles to try to get attention from other humans. Some just becomes more famous from it. Surely this person has built a business in life so clearly he knows some things at least. Especially if we compare to the average person that hasn't put themselves out there that much. All controversial people usually speak lots of truth of what will happen. But the mainstream masses loves to live in denial and feed themselves with same boring stories day by day. We need some romantic excitement and drama.
Isn't it boring with lame humans that just conform and acts just like everyone else? Exactly! Here we have someone that is a true individual and unique which is very refreshing. People usually doesn't understand how hard this is in a sheep society. For example you upvote your own comments. Hey isn't that a bit delusional as well by your standards? Your comment is boring and predictable. It's not exciting. Why not mix it up?
We have to realize that reality is complex and nuanced. You can sherry pick small things from a person and make any argument. But that isn't really how a mature man should value another man. It's very silly and immature. And clearly this man talks and get your attention. So he is very smart! As we now are starting to live in a digital world all becomes about pulling off a show for the masses. And we appreciate a good show. Same reason people go watch Netflix or a new Hollywood cinema movie.

The idea behind bitcoin is great and there's a huge potential, but instead of building useful business solutions for it, there is this gamification where people prefer to gamble for a marginal profit. So, yeah, crypto will die and it will be us who killed it.

There will be a lot of growth in crypto by 2020. We'll see if it really gets that high. We all know that if it doesn't hit $1 million, he'll call it off or pull some silly stunt on TV. This is great marketing for him and Bitcoin though. I don't mind it. HODL

In order for the price of bitcoin to not reach 1 million requires a lot of things to not happen.
If any of those change, then we will hit $1,000,000 very easily.

At some point all the currencies will be priced in bitcoin. (or some other thing that shows up to become the standard, and it could be some agreed upon metric)
The dollar, for now is the world reserve currency. And so, i don't think we will ever see it priced in Euros... accept in a list of prices in Yen, Yuan, Euros...
Sounds very exciting! I hope we can move even beyond $1 million BTC because it would be fun when all the people that never invested would see that. It's painful to be ignorant in life when you see what you could have become! A multi-millionaire with ease by doing some smart humble decisions that your geek friends were talking about! I ignored Bitcoin at $10 value... That was painful when you saw it go to $10K!
Something that all these people do is lurking around at the same time that they live in denial. I know because I did that myself! Go to Twitter see some tweets from your Bitcoin investor friends.. Almost hoping that the price would decline eventually! But technology like this is here to stay. Since we all know how tired literally everyone is of Banks. My Bank closed my Bank card I called them in the morning. They said that they did it because of a 10 dollar Spotify transaction... Or something like that... It's a disaster their monopoly have made them so lazy. They have too much power!
We all know that when the mainstream herd moves into Crypto and Western millionaires that the price will totally explode... The West is still doomed because I think the Bank will still be able to take down that place. They doesn't just want to go down themselves. But a few smart Geeks can get in on Crypto and start to plan their escape. Eventually our whole lives will become Tokenized. Which means even more opportunity and leisure from the extra money.
The fun thing now when we have this new digital money system is that we love when it shows red numbers! Since the Crypto industry moves so fast we know it will turn green very fast again. It's more exciting than the old system. While the old stock market when it shows red it can truly be a disaster. Because it may take years for it to recover! This is too slow for us new geeks that are used to 30x profits in 1 year time.
