ProtonMail Was HODLing Their Bitcoin for Years
I always say that just adoption of let's say Bitcoin is not good for the price because 98% of merchants don't even touch BTC< they just dump them right away by some service like Bitpay. The bigger the merchant, the bigger the price drop can come.
Luckily there's some that HODL to all or parts of BTC they get or even pay salaries with them.
Today we found that amazing anon email service - ProtonMail announced they have cash out any BTC they made by selling premium services for years.
They accept Bitcoin donations so even if you don't want to buy anything from their services you can still donor the cause. So far they got 216BTC+ as donations, then the amount they made and HODL must be crazy.

While it's true that many retailers that accept Bitcoin may just dump it, the more retailers that accept Bitcoin, the less necessary it becomes. If businesses can easily transact in Bitcoin, it isn't necessary for the to exchange it into fiat. Of course, stability is important too.
I found a lot of sites wouldn't let me use a protonmail account to register.
That's awesome, screw Paypal and their silly policies. I often shop with BTC wherever possible.
