CoinExchange.io Up With Other URL

in #bitcoin7 years ago

This is not the most popular exchange but it has its upsides. Since yesterday there was issues visiting them, some people even though it was hacked.

Im not sure if just email spam can kill DNS servers (someone could elaborate?) but their domain didn't work since yesterday.

And they are back on coinexchange2.com

Good Use of Exchange?

  • good prices on EXCL/ZEC pairs vs Bittrex
  • good price of MTH/ETHOS(BQX) vs Binance

But you can trust some exchange like this? hmm? :D

I thought they launced a backup site already??

They did launch a back up site
Coinexchange2.com

It seems to me that an email spam can cause a lot of DNS lookups but I don't see how it can make the lookups fail...
Seems to me they have been compromised in some way because I can't find reasons to migrate to another domain if they have full control of their current one.
I think they will need to come up with a better security strategy in related to availability.
I hope they only had their service degraded and not real hack.

yeah really strange, balances are fine though

Happy to hear that!

There are some interesting coins there,if you like to speculate..
I suggest to mr.@kingscrown to make review of Cryptobridge exchange.
It's a decentralized exchange, and it needs to get more popular!

i think this idea is perfect for every partion

oh no thanks for the update!! Hopefully they get back in gear :)

@thomasfarley Great contents you've got.

I used them briefly but their website was so slow and sometimes didn’t work.

If they host their own emails then this could an issue (most likely they do).

Thanks for the info, Im new at this, very helpful..
