How to hide Overclocked setting for warranty board replacement Bitmain

in #bitcoin6 years ago

This video demonstrates how to prepare your L3+ if repair is needed while under the 180 day factory Bitmain warranty. Make sure to power on the unit and let it run for 5-7 mins prior to performing a factory reset. The reset will restore the device back to factory settings. Once the reset button is held down it will make a loud beep sound and the light on the front of the device will turn red. This confirms that the unit has been restored back to factory settings. After it reboots and begins to mine, log into the device through your browser as you normally would then, confirm that it has the factory bitmain pool credentials. Next, update all the pool information with your own pool information. Open a repair ticket on the Bitmain website then send Bitmain an email asking for permission to open the unit to mail back the faulty hashboard. ONLY when Bitmain provides support and confirms that you may open the device to remove the hashboard. Removing the hasboard will void the warranty if you do not ask for permission from Bitmain first. The restore will reverse the frequency increase back to factory settings and then you may remove the dashboard from the housing. I use USPS medium flat rate priority to ship back my boards when repair is needed. This will cost around $14 and Bitmain will receive the board back within 2-4 days, depending on location, if the board is shipped to Bitmain's California USA location.

IF YOU LOSE YOUR RECEIPT Bitmain WILL NOT provide any support so do not forget to keep the tracking for your record. They will say they never received the returned hashboard and tell you to keep checking back.
