Former Prime Minister of New Zealand denies having made investments in Bitcoin

in #bitcoin7 years ago

A former leader of New Zealand is making a call for attention, because they are publishing false news on Facebook where they claim that the president has invested money in purchases of bitcoin.

According to The Herald of New Zealand, a fictitious news portal, they made a report alleging that John Key, who served as prime minister from 2008 until 2016. The publication on Facebook states that Key was claiming $ 300 million after having invested USD $ 1000 in the market.

Key, currently working as the leader of the ANZ Bank of New Zealand, has already said several times that he has never invested or sponsored investments in Bitcoins. The website in question includes a photo of Key and an appointment that alludes to the alleged investment made.

Key already asked Facebook to remove the publication in order to prevent it from continuing to be shared and echoed on social networks. To date, Facebook has not responded to the request and the ad is still published. To the main media of the country that the action was extremely inconsiderate and that I did not expect a portal of the height of Facebook to lend itself for something like that.

Although the article published has not been too popular if you know that enough has already been shared so that Key is receiving messages from people who appreciate your advice on how to invest in bitcoins and benefit.
