Not only do you need to make sure you hold your own crypto, you also need to make sure you don't lose your keys or access to them, and also that you don't send them to a wrong address...
You are your own bank now, act like it.
One thing I have learnt from using crypto is to never use same wallet or address for different websites... Always use wallet with minimum usable amount of balance.
