Bitcoin Catches White House Attention
As many of you know, Bitcoin has increased in price by extreme levels. This has plenty of concerns for money makers, thus it has many concerns for money regulators. The White House addressed this concern recently by announcing that they will be closely monitoring cryptocurrencies.
Here is Frank Chaparro's Article From Business Insider
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the White House is monitoring cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. "I know this is something that is being monitored by our team here," Sanders said during a press conference on Thursday, answering a reporter's question about whether the government would regulate cryptocurrencies. Sanders said she didn't have anything specific to share on the matter. Still, it was brought up by an advisor to President Trump recently. "Tom Bossert, with the Homeland Security team, an advisor to the president, has brought this up in a meeting earlier this week," she said."I know this is something he is keeping an eye on." Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has been on a tear since the US Thanksgiving holiday. The coin is up 850% year-to-date. This appears to be the first time the White House has commented on the cryptocurrency craze sweeping both Wall Street and Main Street.
What Will This Mean?
I have many concerns on this leading to harsh regulations and hefty interventions. This would not jive well with the ethos of most cryptocurrencies being based on decentralization and Libertarianism.
What do you think?
Comment your thoughts on what the White House should do regarding currencies.

Government will try to take some or all of your BTC away from you.
i think they will really try but they won't succed
hope bitcoins expansion
Well like satoshi said it is better to corporate with the network that to attack it because an attack will be too expensive and impractical. When governments try to oppose a system like bitcoin they will loose because it is decentralized and there are too many nodes supporting the network.
