Beware of virus-miner on your computer..

I ve heard some stories about mining viruses who infected millions of computers and made millions of dollars.
Have you ever encountered this? What should I do to avoid this? Do some anti-viruses help?
I ve never meet such a beast. But how do I know? Maybe it mines from my laptop right now😳
