BITCOIN INVESTIGATION: SHOULD YOU BE WORRIED?
The United States Department Of Justice is investigating Bitcoin trading. They believe that traders are creating fake orders and then cancelling them in an effort to control the value of Bitcoin (a practice called spoofing). Should this be a concern to the millions of people trading in cryptocurrencies, especially since we are seeing a progressive drop in the values? The short answer is 'no'. This has happened before. The DOJ has opened investigations in the past and it hasn't been able to find any criminal activity. Once again they are creating a 'red herring'. When the investigation finds no improprieties the values of the coins will strengthen. It's obvious that this sort of news would spook some investors into backing out. Don't be one of them. I think it would be a huge mistake. I predict that over the next couple of weeks we will see values star to rise. Some coins (hopefully Steem) will come back stronger than before the investigation was announced.
I'm not an economist or expert on the subject, but I'm not an idiot either. I can see the big picture. The blockchain is the future and cryptocurrency is here to stay. Stay invested and weather this storm. You'll be glad you did.
Thanks for the comforting post. Was expecting completely the opposite market movement with all the business blockchain applications and good news for cryptocurrencies in general...
I'm fairly certain sticking it out while values are dropping is a sound decision.
