RE: Should @Bitcoin Be Removed From Twitter For Shilling BCH?

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Good afternoon, @runicar

At first, I thought that everything that started with the letters Bitcoin was Bitcoin. But it was with the use of this platform that I learned more about crypto coins, blockchain, etc.

I suppose that when anyone creates a technology is done with the best purpose, maybe help humanity and obviously get monetary benefits. Unfortunately, there are people who are looking for a way to use technologies for their own benefits, to attract attention, etc. I suppose that the creator of Twitter never imagined the problem that would cause the freedom to put any nick as an identifier.

Is it alright for BCH to use the @Bitcoin account name and pose as BTC, or should they desist and use their own actual name.

Obviously not, but then there would be no right to freedom of expression and that would have other consequences.

But it is important that you have made it known so that everyone knows the truth.

Thanks for sharing

Hey @jadams2k18 thank you for such a thoughtful comment!

Well, everyone starts off as a crypto noob :D I was no different and like you I have learned a lot ever since I joined Steem. After all, that's what this place is supposed to do: onboard crypto noobs through something they are familiar with (social interaction on the web / blogging) and in the process make them learn about crypto through earning it for stuff they do elsewhere for free.

What an ingenious model if I may say.

You can bet on that my friend!
