JP Morgan Bitcoin Christmas Bonus

I work in the banking industry and work with different age groups. One morning last week a younger co-worker asked me if I ever received a Christmas bonus. Unapologetically my first reaction was to laugh. As we all know banks make a ton of money. Unfortunately, these enormous profits do not trickle down to retail bankers. Let alone come in the form of a Christmas bonus.

I have to think about the movie, "Christmas Vacation" and the pie of the month club. I wish I could get the gift that keeps giving all year long Clark. Then I start to think about JP Morgan and thought what would the possibility be of Mr. Dimon to deliver Bitcoin as Christmas bonuses to employees.

However, Mr. Dimon has painted himself in the corner with Bitcoin. He blasts bitcoin on one hand but then now plans to make money trading bitcoin after all. But what if Mr. Dimon did the unthinkable. What if he purchased some bitcoin and spread the fractions throughout his organization. This is a win win publicly for him. One his employees will be stoked with his generosity. Then he neutralizes the negative statements he previously made. If they go worthless in the long run then so be it. However, if it appreciates he will look great. Lastly, he would show all the other big banks that at least one big bank can be generous with its employees. You know how banks used to be. Just a thought from a humble banker who does not work for JP Morgan...
